Projects can be fussy

Projects can be fussy

Growth spurts where everything moves fast, then dead zones where nothing does.

Confusion about which feedback to trust, or no feedback at all.

Excitement tangled up with fear.

High energy one week, empty the next.

You're tending something with a ton of potential, and you want to do right by it. Your project deserves a place that understands the care and challenge early work needs.

Nothing quite fits…

Co-working spaces

Give you a desk, not a studio space that encourages growth

Courses

Either too prescriptive (follow this formula) or too hands-off (here's Slack, good luck)

Going it alone

Absolute HARD MODE.

And it's lonely!

Wonder what your project would say about you?

You’re looking for a place to incubate your project

A hosted studio where your project grows up

A hosted studio where your project grows up

6 weeks of incubation. You bring a project that's finding its legs. We bring the producers, the cohort, and the conditions for it to grow.

A creative workspace hosted by Dave & Kristen, creative producers who've spent decades launching projects and designing spaces where they thrive.

We facilitate studio calls, reflect what we see in your relationship to your project, and ask questions that crack things open. We create the conditions for your best work to emerge.

Shared Studio Time

Shared Studio Time

Thursdays, 12–1:30pm ET

Bring your project. Get creative support from Dave & Kristen and your squad. Hot seats and specifically designed breakout groups to keep you connected and reflected.

Every Thursday we gather for coaching, co-working, or demos. You leave clearer about what your project is asking of you, and what wants to happen next.

A Living Community

STAY CONNECTED BETWEEN CALLS

A well curated Circle community for where the work lives between calls. Celebrate a tiny breakthrough, ask for eyes on something, process a stuck moment. This is where the studio lives day-to-day.

A Library of Usefulness

ACCESS TO latest teachings

Everything we've learned about tending creative work, distilled into powerful tools, practices, and techniques you can actually use. New teachings drop regularly. You get them first.

One hour in the studio is worth ten hours of ruminating alone.

Here’s what can happen when you Play Into Being

Here’s what can happen in the studio

Dave & Kristen provide encouragement & space to give young ideas the room to grow. They were the first people I brought my work to when I needed a playground to safely kick the tires. They're serious about play.

Kristen and Dave have an extra-ordinary gift for turning the chaos in your mind into clear, sometimes poetic thoughts. They’re fully present when they listen — you feel truly heard, and what you share feels important. When they work their magic together, you walk away feeling empowered, energized, and grateful to have crossed paths with them, even if only for an hour.

If you are creating something important and meaningful, big or small, Dave and Kristen can help get to the essence of what the thing is so you can design and build from there, and leave a lot of the other baggage behind.

What's Play Into Being?

What's Play Into Being?

A studio for people growing projects.

It began when our own creative fuel shifted from chasing achievement to answering an inner calling. Play Into Being now supports founders, makers, and builders worldwide with tools, workshops, retreats, and experiments in how we work and play. Our approach draws from design, theology, community, alchemy, psychology—and plenty of spaghetti thrown at the wall.

Questions

What kinds of projects do you support?

Projects in their early-to-mid stages, the ones that are real enough to work on but still figuring out what they want to become. A business taking shape, a creative venture finding its audience, a body of work that's emerging. If your project has energy but needs the right conditions to grow, this is for you.

Who is this for?

eople with a project that's finding its legs. You've started something — or you're right on the edge of starting. You don't need a formula. You need a place where your project can be seen, reflected, and supported while it figures out what kind of buisness it will grow into.

Who is this NOT for?

- You don't have a project you're actively building or ready to start - You're looking for networking opportunities rather than focused creative work - You want a formula, a playbook, or a 10-step system. - You just want an accountability partner to force you to hit a deadline. - You're not ready to explore the emotional dimensions of your creative work.

What do you mean by incubator?

An incubator creates conditions for something to grow. We're not an accelerator, we're not trying to make your project move faster. We're creating the conditions it needs to become what it wants to become. Producers who cultivate the space, a cohort, rhythm, honest reflection. That's the incubation.

What's the application process?

A vibe check. Our studio isn't for everyone, and we want to make sure you're a good fit. We're looking for people with a creative project that matters to them and an entrepreneurial mindset. We personally review every application and will get back to you within three days.

What if I'm not sure I'm ready?

If you're asking this question, you probably are. But if you want to explore that edge, start with our Project Relationship Assessment. It's a 10-minute guided conversation about your project that ends with a personalized reading of what we noticed. It's free and it's a great place to start.

What's the time commitment?

1.5 hours weekly for studio calls, plus whatever time you're already spending on your project. This isn't about adding more work, it's about making the time you're more effective and less lonely. All calls are recorded in case you miss a studio session and will be hosted in the Circle community.

I've done accelerators/masterminds before. How is this different?

Most accelerators optimize for speed and scale. Most masterminds are formulaic. As an icubator we create conditions for growth. Your project sets the pace.

What if my project changes direction mid-incubator?

That's part of the process. We're here to support what's actually emerging, not police your commitment to week-one declarations. Your project is alive and we respect where the work wants to go.

Can I ask you a question?

Sure can! Email us at playintobeing@gmail.com
