Some projects are shy, some boisterous. Many are clever and delightful. Each is a character. As we give our project what it uniquely needs to grow, we do, too.
Meet Your Project is a small group workshop that formally introduces you to the project who’s chosen you. We’ll explore what it means to be in relationship with your project and how the playful stance of treating it as alive can be a radical way to work playfully.

Meet Your Guides
Dave has lived an eclectic creative life, always balancing the mystery of the creative act and the very real need to bring ideas into the world. He came up in the design world, ran a creative agency, built and sold a software company that served artists, and has spent years figuring out how to make creative work both sustainable and deeply enjoyable.
His superpower is helping creators navigate that tender space where vision meets reality without losing what makes the work alive in the first place.
Kristen's roots are in social work and relational design. Her zone of genius is in crafting group experiences that leave you better connected to yourself and others, and full of those “aha” moments that actually land.
She's worked with everyone from grassroots nonprofits to federal government orgs to scrappy startups, but her sweet spot is community projects with creative founders. Whether she's crafting systems behind the scenes or facilitating live sessions, Kristen brings full-stack people ops magic to everything she touches.
We’ve spent the last seven years building the Play Into Being ecosystem—and we’re just getting started.
It began when our own creative fuel shifted from chasing achievement to answering an inner calling. Without external pressure, our projects stalled—waiting in the wings, unsure how to enter the world. Disorienting, yes. But it pushed us to design new practices: ways to usher work forward with enjoyment, ease, and authenticity.
Play Into Being now supports creators worldwide with tools, workshops, retreats, and experiments in how we work and play. Our approach draws from theology, philosophy, community, alchemy, psychology—and plenty of spaghetti thrown at the wall.
We’re lucky to be surrounded by brilliant, brave makers who’ve trusted us with their creative lives. Together, we’re learning how to turn chaos into play and projects into being.
